I saw one idiot riding his motorbike on the pavement on the wrong side of the road, a little further yet another idiot made a U-turn in the middle of a flyover. I wondered for a brief moment if there is merit in being good, when everything around is bad?

I always believed that what is inside makes the person and not the outside and despite people doing bad to you, you do what is right because you are in the right. Anyway this belief was mildly shaken as mentioned before. A little further I received the daily verse by SMS from a friend it read, “Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we don’t give up.” – Gal 6:9. If you sow a bad seed what you get during the harvest is good for nothing. If you sow a good seed what you get during harvest is useful to you and others. Never give up doing good.

My faith restored I reached office with a smile.

PS: I just realized that I have crossed 200 posts, this is No. 201! Its been an eventful 28 months of personal blogging. Thanks to everyone who have journeyed with me thus far. Thanks to those who will journey with me, for I have miles to go before I sleep...

    Yea, being abnormal amidst thousands of NORMAL people who forgo morality n discipline n ethics is tough but the only way to add some good to the world is by being THAT ABNORMAL ! Congrats on hitting double century !

This was a crude translation of a proverb that comedian Karunas (as pointed out by Chriz ) made famous in one movie. The Tamil original runs thus, “Kazhutha ketta, kutti suvaru” so you have the translation. I heard that line somewhere and I wondered especially having heard the translation as to what could have been the origin of the proverb. Any ideas? PS: I Googled it and did find something.

Silly Hindians, not knowing & not using are 2 different things. You don't know that many here know Hindi, you only know that we choose not to use Hindi, because it's our choice. Frankly it’s none of your business, what we wear or eat or speak. There is a lot of Hindi everywhere in Tamilnadu and often many are forced to use Hindi to communicate to the staff. If you observe closely there are many non native workers in Tamilnadu in the service industry. While many other states may have a welcoming attitude to people from other states who take up local jobs Tamilnadu has always welcomed them. Chennai or Madras has always been vaazha vaikkum Chennai, meaning it gives room for people to earn their bread in their chosen field. We still have Chinese dentists (the last few sadly) who don’t speak Mandarin here but Tamil to their patients in their clinics near Flower bazaar, Chennai. Battle of the movies - Annaathe Vs Jailer

  I watched Jailer yesterday and strangely my mind went back to Annaathe and I found that there are not too many dissimilarities in the two. For starters both are helmed by super star fan boys and who brought their adulation to the silver screen with varying levels of success. Secondly both movies can be clearly separated into two halves and both halves were significantly different. There are also few others I picked up so listing below my score card for the same.   1.       Title Both movies revolve around their titles and Annaathe was easier to understand, a local big man is called such and it is prevalent throughout the movie. In Jailer it comes to the fore only in a small and actually weak flash back. Annaathe – 1 Jailer – 0   2.      Family relationship bond Both movies were built on a family connect.
